Paul Gauci

Paul Gauci is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK), a seasoned training practitioner and lecturer in management education and development with 30 years experience delivering training to various organisations at an international level. He has been the recipient of the ‘Training Leadership’ Award at the World HRD Congress 2013 held in Mumbai.  

Paul Gauci has been a speaker and trainer at conferences and training events in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. These include Management Centre Europe (MCE); European Financial Management Association (EFMA) and Europe Business Assembly (EBA). He has served as member of the European Savings Bank Group (ESBG) - Technical Assistance Providers Network (TAPN) and delivered on World Savings Bank Institute (WSBI) as well as Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe (BACEE) seminars.  He is an Approved Assessor of the Foundation for Human Resource Development (FHRD) - ‘People Awards’ and also served on the Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry - Business Education Committee.  

He is an Advisory Mentor on the Queen’s Young Leaders Programme, University of Cambridge (UK) and is a Judge on Malta’s Best Entrepreneur of the Year and Best-in-Business Awards.

He is Former Executive Head of Bank of Valletta’s Training Academy which he led for 20 years. He also served concurrently as Chairman of the Mediterranean Training & Development Committee of the Mediterranean Bank Network (MBN) and conducted training activities in all Mediterranean countries. Since 1994, he has lectured within the tertiary education sector at Masters level as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Malta, Maastricht School of Management and University of Reading (UK) amongst other Guest lecturing at international universities. As an independent training practitioner, Paul Gauci is also well established as a key expert in delivering training in various sectors facilitating training courses in  ‘leadership and management skills’; ‘team synergy’; customer care & selling skills’ and ‘train the trainer’ amongst others.

He studied at the University of Malta where he graduated B.A. (Hons) Business Management in 1986 and has, since then, specialised in human resources management, continuing his formal studies through a Masters degree, being awarded a distinction in the M.Ed Continuing Education (Training and Development) course from the University of Sheffield, UK in 1992.
