Ayrton Zarb

As a second-year PhD candidate in Economics, specialising in Labour Economics andEmployment, my research is centred on critical issues in mitigating information asymmetry inthe labour market. As a Senior Lecturer, my areas of expertise revolve around Economics,Banking, Finance, and Research Methods. I also supervise dissertations, whereby I specificallymentor students on topics such as economics, finance, and policy evaluation.My practical experience as an Economist at Jobsplus allowed me to apply theoretical knowledgethrough practical explanations.

At Grant Thornton, I facilitated EU fund applications forbusiness clients and conducted research for government projects, providing me with a deepunderstanding of the economic and policy environments.Over the years, I have published research in Economics, Finance and Banking, Economics ofEducation, and Labour Market Economics, which provides valuable insights into thesocioeconomic factors affecting individuals’ lives. Moreover, I was a guest speaker andcommittee member at the European Commission's Employment Committee Indicators Group,contributing to the academic and professional community.I am enthusiastic to contribute my expertise to the understanding and developing knowledgein various disciplines.
