Joenick Farrugia

Joenick Farrugia is a dynamic and strategic leader with years of experience spanning public administration, education, and the private sector. Currently serving as Chief Coordinator for European Funds within the Government of Malta, he leads communication and digitalisation efforts and is the National Communications Coordinator representing Malta at European Commission-level. He also held leadership and managerial positions in the private sector across different industries, from Servicing Manager in safety and security, to the role of General Manager in IT retail industry.  

He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a research focus on leadership, individual differences, and organisational culture across Malta’s public and private sectors. His academic background also includes a Master’s in Strategy, Leadership, and Change Management, reflecting his deep commitment to organisational excellence and transformation.

Joenick is known for his strong analytical mindset, strategic foresight, and ability to lead diverse teams. He brings a unique combination of technical proficiency, operational insight, and leadership acumen along with a strong academic background.
