Knights Sixth Form
Our Sixth Form's approach to learning
At Knights, we adopt a similar education model to the Gymnasium education system, which is highly regarded for its strong academic standards and focus on quality education. Adopted by countries like Sweden, Germany, Austria and Denmark, this model is known for its rigorous and hands-on curriculum and is regarded to be one of the best in the world. By adopting this proven framework, we aim to provide our students with a world-class education that prepares them for academic and professional excellence.
THE GYMNASIUM EDUCATION SYSTEM
The Gymnasium curriculum often includes mandatory internships or ‘praktikum’ to provide students with practical work experience. These internships are integrated into the academic calendar and can range from a few weeks to several months.
Schools establish partnerships with local businesses, industries and organisations to provide internship opportunities. These partnerships ensure that students have access to relevant and meaningful work experiences in various fields.
Career counsellors and teachers play a crucial role in helping students find suitable internships. They provide guidance on application processes, preparing resumes and developing interview skills.
Internships are often accompanied by reflective assignments or projects. Students may be required to keep journals, write reports, or give presentations about their experiences. This reflection helps students connect their practical experiences with their academic learning and personal development.

KNIGHTS SIXTH FORM EDUCATION MODEL
At Knights, we adopt a similar model to the prestigious Gymnasium systems in Europe to ensure our students gain the practical skills and experience necessary for success in both higher education and professional environments.
Our educational approach is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of their chosen field, coupled with the practical skills necessary to excel in today’s dynamic professional landscape.
Beyond imparting theoretical knowledge and exposing students to hands-on training, we prioritise the development of essential skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking and effective communication.
These competencies are highly sought after by employers and are instrumental in navigating the complexities of real-world challenges. By fostering a balance between academic rigor and practical application, we aim to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are capable of making meaningful contributions to their respective fields.
Our sixth-form programme is built on this principle, and we strive to ensure that all students leave with a solid foundation, ready to embark on their careers with a degree and practical experience.
Shaping your tomorrow, today
We firmly believe in the potential of every student to achieve great things. We are committed to providing students with the perfect environment to thrive. Whether students are preparing for higher education, entering the workforce or pursuing their passions, we are here to help them succeed and become confident, well-rounded individuals.
OUR CURRICULUM
Life ready.
Job ready.
Our pre-tertiary work-based learning curriculum offers a comprehensive, immersive experience that allows students to integrate classroom learning with real-world work experiences in three core fields. Students will engage in hands-on training, mentorship and professional development activities aimed at preparing them for a successful career in their chosen field.

OUR APPROACH TO EDUCATION
Building on the success of the Gymnasium model
Considered to be one of the best in the world, the Gymnasium education model is highly regarded for its strong academic standards and focus on quality education.
Adopted by countries like Sweden and Switzerland, this model is known for its rigorous and hands-on curriculum, which prepares students for higher education and careers in a wide range of fields.
By integrating work apprenticeships into the curriculum, Gymnasium systems provide students with valuable practical experience, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.
At Knights, we adopt a similar model, ensuring our students gain the practical skills and experience necessary for success in both higher education and professional environments.
