Campus Visit by Service Dogs After Students’ Fundraiser

This week began on a truly heartwarming note as our campus played host to a very special visit from the Service Dogs Malta Foundation, accompanied by their well-loved service dogs – Dom, Toby, and Gandalf.

The visit marked the culmination of a generous initiative led by our Sixth Form students, who selected the Foundation as the beneficiary of funds raised through their participation in the JA Malta Foundation Company Programme. The students’ donation supports the training and care of service dogs that provide essential assistance and companionship to individuals with various needs across Malta.

Throughout the visit, the dogs toured different areas of the campus, meeting with students, educators, and staff. Their presence was met with enthusiasm and genuine affection, bringing smiles and creating meaningful interactions wherever they went. It was clear that Dom, Toby, and Gandalf made a lasting impression, not only through their calm and friendly nature but also through the important work they represent.

The event served as a valuable learning opportunity as well-raising awareness about the vital role of service dogs in our community and the rigorous training and dedication involved in their development.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Service Dogs Malta Foundation for taking the time to visit, and to our Sixth Form students for supporting such a worthwhile cause. Their initiative reflects the values of empathy, responsibility, and active citizenship that we strive to instill in all our learners.

This visit reminded us that even small actions—like choosing a meaningful cause to support—can lead to moments of connection, understanding, and joy. And sometimes, those moments come with a wagging tail.
