Diploma in Football Coaching

The beautiful game demands more than knowing formations, it demands leaders who can transform potential into performance, pressure into precision, and individuals into unstoppable teams.
Our Diploma in Football Coaching isn't just another qualification. It's your complete preparation for the realities of modern football coaching. While others teach theory, we throw you onto the pitch. While others focus on textbooks, we focus on what actually works when the whistle blows.
This 60 ECTS, MQF Level 5 programme takes you from understanding coaching fundamentals to leading real teams in real situations. You'll master everything from tactical planning and performance monitoring to the psychology of team development and the tech revolutionising the game. You won't just learn about coaching. You'll do coaching through hands-on work-based learning that puts you in the thick of it.
We assess the way coaches actually work through a mix of practical demonstration, strategic thinking, and real-world application.
Assignments form the structure of your assessment across five modules, where you'll demonstrate your understanding of coaching fundamentals, the football industry, different coaching styles, tactical planning, and performance monitoring through written work that proves you can think strategically like a coach. You'll sit one examination on technology in coaching to show your grasp of the digital tools transforming modern football.
Working with others is assessed through a team presentation where you'll showcase team development strategies alongside peers, and a team assignment that evidences your collaboration skills with coaches, medical staff, and administrators.
The work-based project is the culmination of everything you've learned, worth 20% of the entire programme. You'll complete a supervised coaching placement with a real team and submit a reflective journal documenting your coaching experience, critical decisions, and lessons learned. Tutors will observe and evaluate your practical coaching performance in action, and your consistent presence and engagement throughout the placement count toward your final assessment.
This course is intended for those aged 19-65.
