- Manage the impact of the cost of capital on the value of a business
- Carry out qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Manage acquired information and evaluate and analyse data accordingly
- Comply with ethical considerations and moral philosophies when conducting research in finance and accountancy
- Produce a research proposal in preparation for the dissertation research project
- Produce an original and informative piece of research whilst making use of the appropriate research methods
- Carry out literature review focusing on previously published work which is related to the topic of choice
- Manage own research and implement effective critical and analytical thinking

This course implements various methods and techniques of assessment, including examinations, assignments, presentations, research proposals and a dissertation.
