Our MQF Level 4 Award in the Practice of Inclusive Education for Supply Learning Support Educators is a 10-week introductory programme designed to equip aspiring educators with the foundational knowledge, skills, and competences required to support students as Learning Support Educators (LSEs) within classroom and school settings.

Mode of Assessment

This award will be assessed through diverse methods. These include assignments, group work, presentations, case study analysis, resource preparation, and reflective journals.

Target Audience

This course is intended for both Maltese and non-Maltese individuals who wish to serve as Learning Support Educators (Supply) within the Maltese education system.


The course costs €550 and includes full access to materials, tutor support, and a certificate of completion. It's free for anyone enrolling in the Undergraduate Certificate in Inclusive Education – Level 1, making it a great opportunity to advance your skills at no extra cost.

Entry Requirements

The below are the requested entry requirements

To be eligible, candidates must either be engaged as a supply Learning Support Educator (SLSE) in a licensed school with proficiency in both English and Maltese, or hold four MATSEC Level (MQF 3) qualifications, including Maltese, English, and Mathematics - with the fourth subject being either C3 or ECDL.

Alternatively, a proficiency test equivalent to MATSEC in English, Maths, and Maltese (minimum grade 5) is also accepted. For employment purposes, prospective SLSEs must possess an Advanced Matriculation Level certificate (MQF Level 4, minimum grade E) or equivalent, which may include a VET qualification. Candidates who are not currently employed must complete their practicum in a school setting on a voluntary basis.

While Knights will assist candidates in finding a suitable placement, it remains the student’s responsibility to secure a school for their practicum.
