The Award in Mental Health at the Place of Work delves into the critical importance of assessing and managing mental health within an organisation. Learners will gain a deep understanding of how mental health issues can impact individual employees, team dynamics, and overall organisational effectiveness.

Learners will learn how to:

  • Critically analyse the importance of assessing and ensuring positive mental health at the workplace.
  • Demonstrate critical understanding of the main causes of mental health issues at the workplace.
  • Identify best approaches and methods for successful intervention in situations related to the mental health and wellbeing of the employees.
  • Reflect on ways in which mental health has an impact on employee performance as well as on the overall success of the organisation.
  • Identify various tools and methods for the effective prevention of negative mental health situations at the workplace.

Mode of Assessment

The Award in Mental Health at the Place of Work award shall be assessed through the use of an assignment.

Entry Requirements

The below are the requested entry requirements

To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold any one of the following requirements:

  • Diploma pegged at MQF Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Matriculation certificate with at least 2 A-levels and 3 Intermediates
  • Matsec certificates with 4 passes at Grade 5 or better
  • Relevant work experience

Non-native English speakers must also have an English qualification such as CEFR or IELTS 5.5.
